Description
Position Overview: Responsible for managing restaurant operations, establishing and maintaining standards of service, in order to ensure guest service and repeat business.
Essential Job Functions:

- Direct the Restaurant staff, by coaching, counseling, providing guidance and direction, correcting work, while motivating team to improve and maintain positive morale
- Provide training for the Restaurant staff, to include completing performance reviews.
- Establish standards and procedures for work for Restaurant operations. Plan work schedules and daily assignments to ensure adequate service, according to labor standards and functions. Check staff attendance according to schedules, adjust and reassign server stations, as necessary, in order to provide quality service during functions
- Interview, hire, train, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate
- Supervise the set up of the restaurant, to include placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware
- Visually inspect restaurant areas and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up
- Ensure service standards are met throughout the restaurant operations team during service.
- Verbally communicate, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of service with the kitchen, service areas, beverage, and engineering staff, as well as the guests to ensure quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standards
- Walk around tables and throughout room during service to inquire and ascertain guest satisfaction or handle any employee needs.
- Resolve guest concerns/complaints; address root issue
- Supervise clean-up of restaurant and proper breakdown and storage of equipment
- Prepare any necessary reports and process payroll
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description

- Responsible for receiving, processing and investigating complaints made per the existing harassment policy.
- Maintains strong influence within all hiring, training, performance evaluations, discipline and/or termination decisions.
