Job Overview:
We are seeking a candidate for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Specialists we are looking for will play a crucial role in providing specialized clinical support and expertise to ensure the highest quality of patient care. (Spanish a plus)
Seeking a Medical Assistant/Clinical Triage Specialist:
- Requires ability to prepare patients to see the physician, facilitating labs, diagnostic tests, and other paperwork as needed, supporting physicians in clinic, and maintaining incoming and outgoing faxes, documents, procedure/test scheduling, etc.
- This role also provides patient support with phone triage, scheduling appointments impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and pivot as needed.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Include all general medical assistant duties including rooming patients, prepping charts, accurate documentation, room setup, physician assistance, cleaning rooms, and instruments.
- Answering a multiline phone and ability to schedule patient appointments
- EClinical works experience preferred and previous medical assistant experience required.
- Perform X-Ray procedures and assist in diagnostic imaging processes
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Possess basic life support skills to respond to emergency situations effectively
- Electronically submit or call in prescription requests to pharmacies; obtain provider signature of approval for each prescription request under direction of the physician.
- Triage incoming phone calls; provide treatment or other instructions as appropriate.
- Return phone messages at designated times throughout the day.
- Communicate provider referral requests to the appropriate team for processing.
- Maintain all incoming and outgoing faxes and scanning documentation.
- Phlebotomy preferred but not required
- bilingual a plus but not required
- Certification in Medical Assisting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting or recent graduate of MA school.
