Nashville Fertility Center is a state-of-the-art reproductive health care facility servicing the residents of Tennessee and the surrounding states. The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals.
The candidate will be required to rotate Saturdays and 1 Holiday during the year (holiday rotation includes the day after Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
· Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner.
· Verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. Put armbands on patients.
· Distributes and collects the appropriate forms to the patient.
· Assist patients with paperwork, providing guidance on completing forms as needed.
· Facilitates the prepping and maintenance of patient charts.
· Manages patient flow to include pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.
· Schedule appointments accurately, coordinating with patients and clinical staff to ensure efficient scheduling.
· Process payments, collect co-pays, and manage billing inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and address any issues that arise.
· Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
· Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry as needed.
· Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
· Stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information to patients and visitors.
· Handle inquiries and provide information about services offered by the Nashville Fertility Center.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring it reflects the professionalism of the clinic.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
· A minimum of 2 years of medical customer service required
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
· Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
· Understanding medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
· Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
· Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
