Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our NashvilleHealth team. The Project Manager will play a significant role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with our mission. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for making a difference in our community by advancing health and health equity for all Nashvillians. Other duties may be assigned beyond the below description.
The successful candidate will be a highly capable communicator, a self-starter, detail-oriented, highly organized, creative and willing to demonstrate a thoughtful and strategic approach to pathways that create healthier communities. They will possess a unique combination of curiosity, technological savvy, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create systems and organize information for leadership and collaborative partners on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning, Management and Oversight
- Collaborate with the CEO and COO to develop, implement and run strategic initiatives and projects that advance NashvilleHealth’s mission and goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external program leaders and oversee projects in different phases to ensure effective delivery and implementation of programmatic efforts.
- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize project outcomes and recommend and implement solutions as needed.
- Report project updates to CEO, COO, community leaders and stakeholders.
- Financial Management
- Monitor and manage financial performance, budgets, and resource allocation for NashvilleHealth projects.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and ensure project funds are used for purposes intended, in furtherance of project goals.
- Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain quality assurance and risk management processes to ensure high quality programmatic implementation and delivery internally and with intra-organizational partners.
- Implement and evaluate metrics to measure and improve performance across all projects.
- Collaboration and Partnerships
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with external stakeholders, including community, government, business, and other stakeholder entities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and foster a positive collaborative environment.
- Operational Management
- Assist COO with day-to-day agency operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Assist CEO with presentations, reports, and deliverables in public and private settings.
- Assist as needed with activities including fundraising events, applications for funding, and community outreach.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the public health or nonprofit sectors, but all sectors may apply. Project management certification such as CAPM and PMP or proven track record with project management tools and process improvement, and continuous improvement processes preferred.
- Excellent project planning, implementation, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success in financial management and resource optimization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
