Job Summary : The Project Manager, Information Technology (IT) is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and executive management to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
Essential Responsibilities :
Reviews literature, consults with experts, coordinates with vendors, and monitors the aviation industry to identify and recommend appropriate hardware and / or software solutions.Provides basic technical support for desktop operating systems and business applications.Provides technical support to end users with business systems such as the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.Establishes information technology project scope by studying strategic business drivers; discovering and validating business and technical requirements and parameters; advising client of technology trends related to business solutions; obtaining input from subject-matter experts; examining and recommending changes to current business practices; developing and writing proposals.Develops information technology project solution by formulating objectives; planning project life-cycle deliverables and resource availability and application; preparing installation and modification specifications; leading the exploration, evaluation, and design of technical solutions.Implements information technology project solutions by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; conducting design and implementation reviews; examining, researching, and resolving issues; escalating issues to appropriate authority; responding to team member concerns; following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements.Manages information technology client expectations by building relationships; communicating project status and open issues; preparing reports; conducting reviews and meetings to discuss issues; discovering new issues.Prepares information technology users by developing and conducting end-user training; mapping terminology and procedures to client operating environment.Validates data conversion by developing and evaluating tests; approving reconciliation.Meets information technology project cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.Reduces costs and increases serviceability by forwarding information systems solutions to organization knowledge database.Maintains customer confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.Improves information technology project management job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.Contributes to information technology project management and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.Communicates clear and timely expectations to team members and stakeholders.Supports MNAA’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).Follows all safety regulations.Maintains regular and on-time attendance.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics :
