What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician position at Nashville Mental Health?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as directed by the behavior analyst
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Follow all safety protocols and crisis management procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with medical records and documentation
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Experience in patient care or medication administration is beneficial
- Background in addiction counseling or PTSD care is desirable
