Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the automotive service department, acting as the liaison between technicians and the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Transmit repair orders to technicians and suspend work orders as necessary.
- Provide clear explanations of services performed and costs involved.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and service history
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Assist in managing inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for repairs.
- Monitor and track hours for all fleet vehicles.
- Schedule PM services
- Give PO#s to vendors and third-party repairs
- Track and file all driver inspection sheets daily
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive service writing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is a plus but not required.
- Strong background in customer service within an automotive dealership or repair environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information
- Experience using service writing software or systems is advantageous.
- Computer skills specifically Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
