Position Summary:
The Community Engagement Associate is responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Team executing a robust collection of community programs for Nashville Soccer Club, with a particular focus on building relationships with nonprofit and corporate partners, volunteers, and community program participants. The Community Engagement Associate will work with the Community Engagement Team to assist in the overall planning and coordination of Nashville SC’s match-day activities, charitable programs, and events.
The Community Engagement Associate is responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Team executing a robust collection of community programs for Nashville Soccer Club, with a particular focus on building relationships with nonprofit and corporate partners, volunteers, and community program participants. The Community Engagement Associate will work with the Community Engagement Team to assist in the overall planning and coordination of Nashville SC’s match-day activities, charitable programs, and events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Community Engagement Team to plan and execute Nashville SC community programs, soccer-specific activations, engagement events, and matchday activations
- Help foster and maintain the club’s presence and engagement in local schools, neighborhoods, and community organizations
- Provide ongoing input, information, and materials (as requested) that support internal and external communication efforts about programming and opportunities
- Provide ancillary support for other Nashville SC projects by coordinating with and supporting colleagues as needed or requested
- Uphold Community Engagement department's mission and core values in all programs
- Assist with program set-up and breakdown.
- Collect and report valuable feedback and insights after each event to provide back to team leads and supervisors.
Shift Information:
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Hours will vary dependent on programming and event schedules
- Some shifts will require transportation.
Qualifications:
- 2 – 3 years experience in nonprofit, school, and/or community settings
- Strong people and communication skills. Candidates should feel comfortable promoting Nashville Soccer Club and interacting with community members with a fun and positive attitude.
- Collaborative personality who works well with others on their team.
- Must have transportation, a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work weeknights and weekends.
- Reliable and punctual, being on-time is important to you.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to move and lift objects that exceed 50 lbs.
- Background check is required
