Position Description
Nashville SC is looking for highly motivated individuals interested in being a part of the Major League Soccer team in Nashville. The ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative, the ability to multi-task, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. The Youth Soccer Programs intern will gain hands-on experience performing a variety of roles in a fast paced environment, with the chance to have a direct impact on soccer in Nashville. NSC’s collaborative environment full of learning opportunities is designed to help all interns evolve their capabilities, challenge their strengths, and reach their fullest potential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate in a team environment to further enhance our overall strategy and philosophy of play for children ages six to fourteen years old, typically in groups of 10 children.
- Lead and assist with training sessions that are both fun and engaging.
- Take a child-centered approach in coaching children how to enjoy the game of soccer at its earliest foundation.
- Emphasize and promote the importance of active and healthy lifestyles.
- Travel to and from various facilities to help maintain and operate programming.
- Attend all Nashville SC home games, as well as non-soccer related events.
- Represent Nashville SC and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
- Act as a representative of Nashville SC at all home matches, engaging with guests at an informational table specific for youth soccer programs.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision.
- Prefer candidates with experience working with children
- Prefer candidates with coaching experience
- Professional appearance and attitude, as well as the ability to work with others.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for college credit.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
- Available 20-25 hours per week.
- Required to sit, stand and walk.
- Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
- Available to work all Home Matches.
