Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC machinist to join our team at Nashville Wire. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in tool and die, with a strong background in programming and machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper job documentation and assist with basic machine maintenance
- Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, and set up and operate machine tools
- Fitting and assembling parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist's hand tools
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including PLC controlled machinery, hydraulic and mechanical presses, and various welding systems
- Operate and maintain tool and die shop equipment, including inspection tools, manual lathes, and mills
Requirements:
- 5 years of tool and die experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to read blueprints
- Mathematical calculation skills and ability to operate and maintain tool and die shop equipment
