DESCRIPTION :
The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is currently seeking a General Special Education Teacher. The successful candidate must have experience working with students with learning, behavior and social / emotional needs and possess strong skills in differentiated and specially designed instruction. In addition, the successful candidate must have demonstrated skills in data informed-instruction, Next Generation Learning Standards and New York State Alternate Assessments (NYSAA).
REQUIREMENTS :
- New York Department of Education Teaching Certification - Special Education.
- Experience working with a diverse range of student needs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Experience in providing small group instruction in academic areas is preferred.
- Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.
SALARY :
As per labor contract
