What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In

We are looking for a Confectionery Sales Representative to join our team and drive new business opportunities. This role is responsible for developing new customer relationships, reactivating accounts, and supporting customer service in retaining and growing sales. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, skilled in relationship-building, and passionate about growing sales in the confectionery industry. Reporting to the EVP Sales, this role plays a crucial part in expanding Nassau Candy’s market reach and strengthening customer partnerships.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • New Business Development:

    • Develop target lists of potential customers.
    • Follow up with NassauCandy.com pre-qualified leads as assigned.
    • Cold call and engage with prospects to understand their businesses and how Nassau Candy can partner with them.
    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Account Management & Growth:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to foster long-term partnerships.
    • Reactivate inactive accounts by identifying opportunities for new sales.
    • Conduct monthly business reviews of key accounts using sales and item velocity reports.
    • Communicate new product offerings to accounts as appropriate.
    • Work closely with customer service to enhance sales opportunities with existing customers.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    • Formulate competitive pricing strategies and submit Requests for Price Adjustments (RPA).
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and market conditions to provide strategic sales insights.
    • Meet with customers in the showroom to present products and promotions.
    • On occasion, visit key customers in the field to strengthen relationships and develop sales opportunities.
  • Industry Engagement & Market Insights:

    • Attend tradeshows and industry functions to network, develop contacts, and establish credibility.
    • Stay informed about industry developments, trends, and marketplace dynamics to anticipate customer needs.
  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of sales initiatives.
    • Perform additional duties and participate in projects as required by the department.

Office & Travel Guidelines

This role may require occasional travel for trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. The ability to work independently and manage travel logistics is essential.
