Job Summary
Nassau’s 10-week, summer internship program in our Hartford, CT office prepares college students for careers on the cutting edge of insurance and asset management. During this internship, you will become an active member of the Information Technology (IT) Controls team, completing a wide variety of responsibilities that support our objectives of sustaining long term competitiveness and growth. Along the way you’ll get to meet and work with IT leaders who are responsible for all aspects of insurance and investment management technology.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Support planning of information technology components of company audits by understanding objectives, technology landscape, architecture, policies, processes, and internal controls
- Assess / provide recommendations related to information technology processes and controls in partnership with process / control owners & technology team; review audit control steps, examine and analyze evidence, reports, and documentation
- Independently test, review, collect & organize evidence related to testing of IT controls, ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation, report findings
- Coordinate scheduling / documenting meeting minutes/action items for meetings, observations, and walkthroughs
- Provide input to procedural and process improvements; assist in implementation
- Work collaboratively with IT Controls team for planning, testing and exception resolution
- Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or any other Information management disciplines
- Understanding of IT concepts
- Experience with O365 products, emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint knowledge preferred
- Possess proficient and professional verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with all levels of Nassau management as well external partners / suppliers
- Ability to collaborate effectively, working as a member of a team or independently
- Self-starter that is not afraid to ask questions
- Highly organized and detail-oriented and drive assignments to completion
- Ability to manage multiple assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Possess critical thinking / problem solving skills
