What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Applications Specialist I position at Nassau County District Attorney's Office?
MUST BE A NASSAU COUNTY RESIDENT FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS TO BE ELIGIBLE
General Statement of Duties :
Writes new and revised application and web-based programs, performs intake gathering, application support and troubleshooting tasks.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits) and two years of satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and / or web-based programming for computers;
- A. Associate's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits);
2. Four years of satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and / or web-based programming for computers and,
either
B. Completion of two years (60 credits) of education at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university, including eighteen (18) credits in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits).
3. Satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and / or web-based programming in excess of the minimum requirement for 1 and 2 can be substituted for college on a year-for-year basis. Each year of experience acts as substitution for thirty (30) college credits, including nine (9) credits in a computer field and three (3) credits in a course in programming.
