Job Summary
The role will provide administrative support to our Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer by supporting a multitude of daily initiatives for both the actuarial and risk team. The Administrative Assistant will exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality and be able to multi-task with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the management and organization of Executive calendars and travel
- Provide backup assistance to any of the Executive Assistant(s) or Administrative Managers; including but not limited to supporting the Nassau Executives seamlessly during any absences.
- Maintain and organize general office supplies to ensure Executive team has appropriate resources
- Provide assistance to executives in consolidating and compiling confidential and sensitive information
- Compose letters, memos, reports, and presentations requiring knowledge of circumstances and company or departmental policy.
- Independently research and analyze information for complex or confidential projects, or projects having an impact on administrative procedures.
- Implement approved projects, which may include communicating new procedures to employees.
- Coordinate logistics of senior management meetings.
- Independently record, prepare and distribute information relating to management meetings.
- Manage and run personal and business tasks and errands.
- Support team with the organization, coordination, and execution of special events and meetings, including but not limited to arranging locations, logistics, conference rooms, technology, catering, room prep, communications, outside visitors, and overall support.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Microsoft Office Skills including but not limited to Word, Power Point, Excel
- Ability to handle complex and confidential material
- Self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose and creates communications and interface with internal and external contacts
- Extensive knowledge of department terminology, policies and procedures to respond to inquiries.
- Ability to research and analyze non-routine administrative problems and present findings.
- Ability to independently complete projects using judgment and discretion requiring compilation, summarization, and presentation of information.

The base salary for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band C: $65,000-$85,000 depending upon experience.
