Duties
- Supervise and manage shop personnel, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide project execution.
- Oversee project scheduling and budgeting to ensure timely completion within financial constraints.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards on the construction site.
- Utilize HeavyBid software for project management and cost estimation.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Train staff on proper equipment use, including the operation of an ohmmeter and other tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction processes.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices is essential.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and budgeting techniques.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar project management software is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
