Construction Accountant
Tempe, AZ
In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance and Facilities teams at Natcast, responsible for the working with our facilities teams to track and manage fab construction costs. You will manage and report on all financial aspects of ongoing construction and fabrication projects and ensure all financial projects comply with industry standards and regulations relevant to the construction and fabrication sectors.
To thrive in this role, you must have strong accounting and financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and have in-depth experience in construction and semiconductor manufacturing. While this role is very collaborative, it also requires the ability to manage and own your work product, critically evaluate existing processes and build and create financial processes as needed.

The Construction Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial management and accounting of Natcast's facilities projects, supporting the organization's mission to drive innovation and strengthen the domestic semiconductor ecosystem. Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Controller and CFO and working with the facilities team, own the financial management of our construction projects.
Become an integral part of the facilities team, attending PMO meetings and working on-site during the multi-year construction of our Packaging and Prototyping facility
Work closely with project managers and engineers to align financial management with operational activities.
Provide strategic financial insights to aid in decision-making and project planning.
Experience auditing accounting data, identifying errors, calculating accruals, allocations and other accounting related transactions
Understand how to work under the governance of donor agreements
Review and update Internal Control and Procedures, as well as financial policies
Manage the financial aspects of a semiconductor fabrication facility construction project, meticulously tracking project costs, analyzing expenses, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with project managers to ensure the project stays within budget and meets financial goals while adhering to specific accounting standards relevant to the manufacturing industry
Collaborate cross-functionally and become a business partner with lines of business. Must be able to learn how financial drivers impact financials.
Experience in or interest in treasury management activities

Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in construction and fabrication industry accounting
Proficiency in handling complex financial reports and work-in-progress accounting
Process invoices from vendors and subcontractors related to construction activities
Verify invoice accuracy against project contracts and purchase orders
Prepare comprehensive project financial reports including cost breakdowns and cash flow projections
Analyze data to identify trends and potential project related risks
Present financial reports to project managers and senior management
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and expectations
Work closely with project managers to understand project timelines, milestones, and critical deliverables
Provide financial insights and analysis to support informed decision-making through the construction process.
An in-depth understanding of the procurement, accounting and the financial life cycle
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations
High proficiency in Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
A history of building effective relationships with business partners
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Semiconductor design, innovation or manufacturing; manufacturing construction
Experience implementing an ERP or other software solution
