Job Title: School District Administrator

Location: Natchez-Adams School District, Natchez, Mississippi

Position Summary: The School Administrator provides strategic leadership and operational management to promote academic excellence and a positive school culture. This role involves overseeing daily school activities, implementing educational programs, managing staff, and ensuring district and state educational policy compliance. ​

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Leadership:

o Develop and implement educational programs that align with district and state standards. ​

o Monitor and evaluate curriculum effectiveness, recommending improvements as necessary. ​

o Support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction through professional development and mentorship. ​

2. Staff Management:

o Recruit, hire, and retain qualified educational and support staff. ​

o Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. ​

o Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. ​

3. Student Affairs:

o Oversee student enrollment, attendance, and disciplinary procedures. ​

o Promote a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning. ​

o Address student and parent concerns effectively and empathetically. ​

4. Operations and Facilities Management:

o Manage the school's budget and allocate resources efficiently. ​

o Ensure the maintenance and safety of school facilities. ​

o Implement and monitor emergency procedures and protocols. ​

5. Community Engagement:

o Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the broader community. ​

o Encourage parental involvement and build strong relationships with stakeholders. ​

o Represent the school at district meetings and community events. ​

6. Compliance and Reporting:

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements:
  • Possess a master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in educational administration/leadership from an accredited institution. ​
  • Hold a valid Mississippi Administrator License with a 486 endorsement.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching or administrative experience in an educational setting. ​
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of improving student achievement. ​
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills. ​
