Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Engage with students in a supportive manner, fostering their academic and social development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism or behavioral challenges.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Assist in curriculum development as needed, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring safety and adherence to school policies.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills are essential for maintaining order and focus among students.
- Familiarity with math concepts is beneficial to support various grade levels.
- Experience working with children who have autism or other special needs is a plus.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt them based on student needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
