Spanish/English Interpreter

Job Summary
We are a YouTube channel that conducts street interviews and are looking for a skilled and dedicated Spanish Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English-speaking parties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural contexts to ensure accurate interpretation and translation. This role is essential in various settings, including healthcare, legal, and community services, where clear communication is vital.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation services during street interviews
• Film the street interviews with your phone
• Be very friendly with the interviewees.
• Stay updated on terminology and cultural nuances to enhance communication effectiveness.

Skills

• Proficiency in both Spanish and English; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred.
• Strong interpreting skills with the ability to convey messages accurately in real-time.
• Background in linguistics or related fields is beneficial.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and communication skills to facilitate clear understanding.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Comfortable working on the street for long hours and approaching strangers to interview. Look up "Nate Friedman" on YouTube and watch the videos to ensure you are comfortable filming and translating.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
