The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering precision and excellence. This position requires a strong ability to produce detailed technical drawings, assess design feasibility, and ensure conformity to project and production standards for interior and structural layouts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software
- Review and interpret architectural specifications and drawings to produce precise shop drawings
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to refine and adjust drafts, incorporating recommendations
- Generate detailed drawings based on both standardized templates and custom design requirements
- Calculate dimensions, materials, and layout requirements, ensuring adherence to production standards
- Conduct quality checks on all drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy, mathematical correctness, and design feasibility
- Maintain and organize project drawing files, document libraries, and all associated transmittals and documentation
- Develop and maintain drawing standards to improve efficiency and consistency across projects
- Assist in establishing project timelines and deliverables based on design specifications and client needs
- Communicate effectively to support and align with project goals, timelines, and cost estimates
- Perform other drafting and design duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp (required)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of construction practices, including costs, materials, and project lifecycles
- Prior experience in cabinetry design or construction is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
