We are seeking a skilled and proactive Purchaser for our construction company to oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely acquisition of quality materials at the best prices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and evaluate new vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers for procurement needs.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Purchaser/Procurement Officer in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and cost management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Must have own transportation
