Education

  • Master's degree, preferably in education administration
  • Qualifications

  • At least five years of successful teaching experience.
  • State Principal certification required.
  • Prior experience as a principal preferred.
  • SEI Endorsement
  • Strong communication, team-building, and organizational skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge

  • Lead the development and communication of educational goals aligned with the district's vision.
  • Provide leadership in organizing and implementing instructional programs and curriculum aligned with state standards, including Common Core.
  • Use data to identify strengths, address gaps, and improve instruction for all students.
  • Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to create inclusive, supportive classrooms.
  • Promote equity and belonging, focusing on racial equity, LGBTQ inclusion, and support for diverse abilities.
  • Supervise staff and programs while supporting hiring, orientation, and evaluations.
  • Oversee daily school operations, including custodial, cafeteria, and support services, to maintain a safe and functional facility.
  • Establish effective discipline practices and foster a positive school climate.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage responsibilities promptly and accurately.
  • Manage budgets responsibly, aligning resources with school goals.
  • Ensure compliance with School Committee policies and district objectives.
  • Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, PowerSchool, and other tools to support instruction and operations.
