Natick’s Best Summer Camp is looking for an Admin/Healthcare Supervisor. This is a dual position role responsible for assisting the Camp Director with the management of the summer program, and the medical care of campers. You’ll build relationships with hundreds of parents and children, helping them overcome fears, discover passions, and generally find their groove at Natick’s Best Summer Camp. You’ll assist the Director to train, lead and inspire a team, and help oversee the day-to-day operations for camp to keep things running smoothly, safely, and up to code.
Admin Duties: 80-90% of time
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Making outbound phone calls
- Responding to emails
- Posting to our social media pages each week
- Creating and updating customer accounts
- Modifying and updating documents on Word and Excel or Google Drive
- Assisting with training, leading, and inspiring the coaching team
- Assisting to oversee the day-to-day operations of camp
- Fostering relationships with parents and campers, promote field trips, manage sign-ins, and other tasks as assigned.
- Handle any issues that may arise including, but not limited to, camper behavior issues, conflict resolution, parent conversations, etc.
Healthcare Supervisor Duties: 10-20% of time
- Oversee the health, safety, and welfare of the Camp through sound health promotion and practices in compliance with the Department of Public Health Regulations.
- Screen camper medical forms to include physicals and immunization forms and confirm they meet the MA Camp Regulations to attend camp.
- Supervise all aspects of onsite healthcare and ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
- Manage, document and administer medication.
- Administer first aid and attend to injuries at camp.
- Maintain the camp medical log, documenting all first aid given.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain medical supplies, keeping them stocked, organized and prepared.
- Communicate injuries and illnesses with supervisors and parents in a timely manner.
- Assist with meal times, including allergy checking and monitoring dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean and organized camp medical room.
- Track and administer emergency medicine when needed
- Will be trained by our Healthcare Consultant, who will serve on call for any questions or consulting needed throughout the 10 weeks of camp.
Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED required
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Certification required (must be done in person)
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years experience working with kids, ideally of varying ages and abilities.
- Prior medical experience or someone studying in the medical field is preferred
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Excellent communication skills with an engaging and positive phone demeanor
- Ability to make decisions and adjust plans in real-time
- Previous admin experience preferred with ability to supervise and motivate
- Sound judgment, integrity, problem solving skills and risk management.
- Must have a clean criminal background. Must have a valid license and personal transportation.
- Highly computer literate, including working with spreadsheets and database management software on registration, scheduling, and billing.
- Enthusiasm, patience and an upbeat positive attitude
- Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
Hours & Pay:
Paid training starting in April/May. This can be done on a part time basis, with some flexibility in scheduling. Summer commitment Monday - Friday, June 23 - August 27, 2025 (No camp on July 4th). Seasonal, part time position with a pay range of $20 - $23 per hour, depending on experience.
