Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive mental health care to adolescent patients, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and be skilled in delivering patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients, including children and adolescents.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management as appropriate.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Perform necessary medical procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, and family planning consultations.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Bilingual is a plus!
Skills
- Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to psychiatric care.
- Familiarity with working in a Telehealth environment is an asset.
