We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Victory Little Knights Academy. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of young children in a preschool setting. This position requires a strong background in early childhood education, behavior management, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with children to foster important life skills and guide them in their early educational journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and academic support to children in a nurturing and structured environment.
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities to promote learning in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Educate children on various topics, including social skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Organize and lead hands-on learning activities, arts & crafts, music, and story time.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through effective supervision.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to address individual learning and developmental needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that is conducive to learning and play.
- Participate in professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, classroom management, and child development.
Experience
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential.
- Skills in classroom management and behavior management are highly valued.
- Experience in teaching or facilitating early learning activities, including arts & crafts and music, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Christian educational practices is beneficial but not required.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is preferred but can be obtained upon hiring.
