What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute After School Sports Instructors position at National Academy of Athletics?
About us
The NAofA sport programs for kids are specifically designed to help players of all abilities. The goal is to have tons of fun, learn sport-specific skills, and gain confidence on and off the field. We teach children about success, failure, and what it means to be part of a team. Our coaches provide an enthusiastic place for kids to fall in love with their chosen sport.
AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS INSTRUCTOR & COACH
Instructing elementary-aged kids through different sports curriculum. Knowledge and experience in sports is required. Must have a social and friendly personality, be willing to use your energy and work with kids for approximately 2 hours per day. Willing to improvise and adaptable to the needs of the children and camps. If you do not feed off of the energy from kids, please don't apply. Great job for college students and athletes looking for part-time or seasonal work.
During the school year we work with municipalities to also provide NAofA sport programs for kids after school, during breaks, holidays, and for teacher work days. This offers parents the ability to leave their kids with us while they may still need to go to work. It offers kids a great way to get active, stay healthy and have fun outside of school hours.
YOUTH SPORTS P.E. INSTRUCTORS & TEACHERS
During the school year we work with schools to fulfill their Physical Education requirements mandated by the Department of Education. Instead of kids standing around outside with an English or History teacher, our team steps in to instruct actual Physical Education programs for kids. The NAofA sports programs for kids put the fun back into PE! Teachers also appreciate not having the responsibility of teaching PE and favor the time to work on their lesson plans or grade papers.
