Role Description:
NAICO is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Workers Compensation OR Property Casualty Claims Adjusters to join our team. This role is essential for assessing and managing claims with professionalism, ensuring timely and accurate settlements. The Claims Adjuster will work closely with agents, insureds, and other stakeholders to investigate claims, assess damage, and make well-informed decisions regarding coverage and liability.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Claims Adjuster, you will:
- Obtain all investigative material necessary to determine coverage, liability, or damage issues for each case.
- Interview and obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties.
- Assess losses prior to payment or assign losses to independent appraisers to determine agreed-upon repair costs.
- Assign and supervise independent adjusters to ensure prompt, professional, and cost-effective claim settlements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports for claim files and provide updates to management as required.
- Make timely decisions based on investigative material to ensure proper settlements within established guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5 years of experience in claims adjusting is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Guidewire, CorVel, Verisk, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.
- Travel: Minimal travel required.
