Premium Auditors at NAICO obtain exposure information on policies for use in final insurance premium audits via telephone, voluntary and physical on-site audits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Reviews audit information, policy file and loss information.
- Classifies employers' payroll per scopes manual if required.
- calls insureds to conduct review of payroll audit records or to schedule a physical audit.
- Interprets NCCI rules and state statues and ISO General Liability Rules.
- Corresponds with insures to request additional information if required to calculate audit information for final earned premium
- Performs reconciliations of exposure base, including comparison with summary records, analysis of financial data and other industry standard.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and two to five years insurance or related industry experience preferred.
SKILLS:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe) and clerical skills.
