ABOUT NAPAWF

Founded in 1996 by 100 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women, NAPAWF (National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum) is the only organization dedicated to empowering AAPI women and girls and gender non-conforming folks to impact policy and drive systemic change in the U.S. NAPAWF is building a movement for social, political, and structural change by building a multilingual, multigenerational membership that encompasses the diversity of the AAPI community.

Employing a reproductive justice framework, we use organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to assert full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities. The organization also stands in solidarity with other women of color facing oppression and marginalization. NAPAWF focuses on three core issues employing an intersectional approach that holistically centers the experiences and stories of AAPI women and girls:

  • Reproductive Rights and Health
  • Economic Justice
  • Immigration and Racial Justice
 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Development Manager, Corporate Giving will support NAPAWF’s mission by assisting in the coordination and expansion of corporate giving efforts. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to help engage and cultivate relationships with corporate donors. The successful candidate will assist in tracking organizational needs, support the creation of meaningful touchpoints with donors, and contribute to the continuity and consistency of fundraising efforts through collaborative work with internal teams and event coordination.

 

LOCATION

The Development Manager, Corporate Giving is a remote position based in one of the following states: IL, FL, NY, CO, GA, PA, MN, TX, CA, DC. The position requires up to 10% travel and includes serving as a spokesperson for NAPAWF at various panels and events.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Giving

  • Establish benchmarks for organizational needs and fundraising goals to inform corporate giving strategies and priorities, with oversight of individual giving, donor briefs, and donor reconciliation.
  • Identify and cultivate existing and new corporate partnerships to drive increased engagement and donations, incorporating strategies for individual giving.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and fundraising strategies that resonate with corporate and individual donors.
  • Analyze industry trends and donor behavior to ensure corporate giving strategies are competitive and aligned with market expectations.
  • Move pipelines effectively to increase corporate giving, ensuring a steady flow of contributions.
  • Monitor and evaluate pipeline performance to identify opportunities for growth and adjust strategies as needed.

Donor Communications

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to articulate NAPAWF’s needs and the impact of corporate investments.
  • Create compelling narratives and content that keep donors informed and connected to NAPAWF’s mission, utilizing skills in storytelling and persuasive writing.
  • Produce high-quality written materials, including newsletters and donor communications, that effectively convey impact.
  • Oversee multi-channel donor engagement efforts through social media, email campaigns, and reports to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.
  • Other development related tasks, as needed.

Event Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual events, managing audio/visual services, food and beverage, and décor.
  • Organize and distribute meeting materials, including printed items, for multi-regional events.
  • Oversee shipping and handling of merchandise and event materials to donors and participants.
  • Ensure smooth execution of both onsite and offsite events, handling all logistical needs from setup to breakdown.

QUALIFICATIONS

Management & Leadership Qualifications 

  • Proven ability to drive strategic impact within mission-driven organizations.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with experience in relationship-building, conflict resolution, and fostering a supportive team culture.
  • Demonstrated commitment to NAPAWF’s mission, values, and advocacy priorities.
  • A track record of bold and courageous leadership, with a learning mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate giving, fundraising, or development required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of fundraising CRM experience (i.e. Salesforce, GiftWorks, Slate, etc.) required.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing staff, particularly entry-level staff, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in development communications and newsletters.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders and corporate partners.
  • Experience in corporate prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Demonstrated ability to fundraise effectively, with experience securing gifts of $100,000 or more is preferred.
  • Knowledge of donor advised funds (DAF) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in communications analytics and metrics is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
  • Strong support of and alignment with NAPAWF’s mission and vision.
  • Occasional travel required (up to 10%) and occasional evening/weekend hours, staffing media events and opportunities, external facing events, and supporting other staff as needed.
 

SALARY & BENEFITS

The annual salary range for this position is $75,500-$90,800 - salary commensurate with experience. 


NAPAWF provides a highly competitive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employees and their eligible dependents receive fully covered medical and dental premiums, with NAPAWF also covering co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, and coinsurance. Benefits begin on your first day, ensuring immediate access to coverage.

NAPAWF also offers full-time employees 15 days of vacation in the first year, 20 days of sick leave, FSA options as well as paid holidays between December 25 and January 1 of each year.
