The Board Development team is responsible for membership growth and works collaboratively and strategically to achieve its goals.
Join a dynamic team that sells our membership solutions to directors and executives at leading organizations within a defined territory. You will work closely with other key internal and external stakeholders to present a holistic view of NACD to each prospect interaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Executive(s) own the full sales cycle for our membership offerings, develop proactive outreach within their territory, field inbound inquiries, and engage with NACD offerings (education, content, etc.) to better illustrate how our solutions can support our growing membership. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Owns end-to-end sales process for new membership recruitment.
- Collaborates closely with other NACD departments such as Member Engagement, Marketing, Content, Certification, and Chapters.
- Identifies key trends within their respective industries and uses data to segment and prioritize approach.
- Communicates effectively with potential new members on the benefits and value of a variety of NACD products and services through regular outreach campaigns and sales conversations.
- Builds and leverages relationships with current members to identify additional membership opportunities
- Qualifies and replies to inbound marketing leads within territory in a timely manner
- Actively educates themselves on news and events in the corporate governance space through centralized classes and self-taught options
- Minimal travel to one NACD educational course, one NACD chapter event and one trade-show per year
- Maintains an accurate record of interactions and pipeline with potential new members in Salesforce
- Accurately records and transitions key information learned during the sales process to Marketing, Member Engagement, and Content
- Performs other duties as assigned

NACD employees are required to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus by their first day of employment. An employee is “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccination series or two weeks after the first shot of a single-dose vaccine (or as described by the vaccine manufacturer).
The salary / hourly range for this position is $80, - $85, plus a strong bonus potential. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
