Position Reports to: Associate Director of Membership
Location: Carlsbad, CA – Hybrid schedule, Tuesday & Thursday in office
Salary: $57,000 to $60,000
POSITION PURPOSE
The Membership Coordinator will collaborate with the NAMM member services team to coordinate day-to-day department activities and key membership programs that drive association growth. This position will also identify opportunities that enhance member recruitment and retention efforts, as well as assist with communication campaigns.
KEY DUTIES
- Coordinate key membership programs, including an awards program, industry networking and mentorship groups (e.g., Young Professionals and Women of NAMM), roundtables and more.
- In coordination with the Associate Director of Membership, ensure the timely updating and consistency of membership procedures, including responses to membership inquiries, service and related activities.
- Collaborate with the NAMM Associate Director of Membership to maintain the association member database.
- Collaborate with the NAMM Communications and Marketing teams to build awareness campaigns targeting new and potential members. Also, assist with digital communications for NAMM membership and member communities (e.g., updating websites pages, e-blasts, etc.).
- Assist the Associate Director of Membership with regularly assessing and improving processes, including membership-application processing, membership campaigns, and membership renewals and database updates.
- Assist the membership team in developing and implementing strategies for promoting, enhancing and supporting NAMM member communities, as well as new member services. Also, monitor overall member satisfaction and oversee member engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members by listening, understanding and responding to their needs. Actively promote positive relationships with the membership and other groups (committees, leadership, stakeholders, etc.). Exhibit a high level of customer service and identify ways to improve service procedures/levels within the position.
Requirements
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Superior interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as a diplomatic demeanor
- Exceptional organization and administration skills, with the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Experience with Salesforce — or management of a similar member database system or CRM
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Music industry experience at a music retail business or music manufacturing brand a plus
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Zoom, and proficiency in Airtable a plus
- Experience using digital and electronic media and marketing channels, such as MailChimp, a plus
- Flexibility with time and additional duties assigned
- Customer support experience
