Mid-Line Automotive Technician Job Description
The Mid-Line Technician performs routine and moderately complex vehicle repairs and maintenance services under the guidance of senior technicians or service managers. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing part replacements, and ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform diagnostic procedures using dealership-provided tools and equipment.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and alignments .
- Replace and repair belts, hoses, batteries, alternators, starters, and other mechanical components .
- Conduct suspension, exhaust, and drivetrain repairs as needed.
- Assist in performing engine and transmission diagnostics and minor repairs .
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately while following OEM guidelines.
- Document repairs, services performed, and parts used in dealership software.
- Work alongside senior technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues .
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and comply with safety procedures.
- Follow all manufacturer and dealership training requirements to stay up to date on vehicle technology.
