Job Description
The Accounting Manager/Controller position is responsible for overseeing the bank's accounting functions, regulatory reporting, and bank examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for branch operations in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.
- Review the bank's daily financial position and supervise the accounting department team to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Identify and report potential risks to earnings or capital due to law violations or regulatory non-compliance.
- Implement changes to accounting practices as per GAAP requirements.
- Lead on-site examinations of banking organizations to evaluate accounting and financial control processes.
- Establish financial controls for the bank.
- Prepare management reports for Board meetings on the bank's financial condition.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in management or audit in a financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience in the financial industry and knowledge of accounting and auditing practices.
- Previous experience in financial reporting, technical/GAAP, and supervisory roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
