A career as an Analyst or Associate in the US Corporate Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team at National Bank of Canada Financial Inc. (NBCFI) means playing a key role in supporting Canadian corporate issuers in structuring and originating debt securities. This position, based in New York, offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to both investment-grade and high-yield transactions in the public and private placement markets.
Your Job
- Prepare presentation materials supporting our clients' capital decision-making.
- Assist in the structuring, execution and documentation of new issue debt transactions.
- Conduct credit analysis and financial modeling for prospective issuers
- Support in the overall monitoring of Canadian & US capital markets (flows, trends, funding opportunities).
- Perform various tasks supporting senior team members in their deal execution and client coverage efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, and the Risk Management Solutions group, as well as with the DCM offices in Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary

NBCFl's US Corporate DCM group is engaged in advising, structuring and originating debt securities across a broad range of Canadian corporate issuers. The group is actively involved in executing investment grade and high yield transactions in both the public and private placement markets to institutional and retail investors in the US.
Although the emphasis is placed on analysis, debt transactions and written presentations, the candidate must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, investors and other advisors.
As part of the DCM business, you will become an integral part of NBCFl's New York-based dynamic and fast-paced trading room, requiring you to effectively process information while executing transactions in a constantly changing market environment. The successful candidate will therefore need to adapt to these conditions with creativity, energy and entrepreneurial spirit to meet demands of the marketplace.
