The Senior Business Development Coordinator is responsible for accurately inputting and managing loan application data. This role involves ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of borrower information, supporting loan officers in the loan process, and maintaining organized records.
BASIC PURPOSES :
- Ensure customer satisfaction and preserve the Bank’s professional image by providing a personalized and efficient service.
- Manage the loans files through the process (input data, file documentation, prepare for underwriting).
- Support and report to the VP Business Development & Chief Business Development Officer in overseeing and managing business development for the Natbank loan business.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES :
Assist loan officers in gathering borrower financial information and ordering credit reports.Manage the loan process by tracking loan status, reviewing loan documentation, and following up on missing or incomplete information.Communicate with borrowers, real estate professionals, and settlement agents in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.Accurately input borrower financial information and loan application data into the loan origination system.Maintain and update loan files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible.Prepare loan files for underwriting and / or Loan CommitteeEnsuring the Bank lending policies and procedures are adhered to, meet legal requirements, and ensure completeness and accuracy of all credit files submitted, including new loans, renewals, and modifications.Proceed with the renewals by ensuring retention.Carry out post-funding analysis of files that require it.Support the VP Business Development by maintaining relationship with NBC’s partners, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, residential builders, and attorneys to obtain business referrals.Occasionally, represent Natbank at various business development activities.PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND BUSINESS COMPETENCIES :
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.At least 2 years of related experience in loan operations or mortgage lending environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding customer service abilities.Great organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with loan origination software and loan procedures is a plus.Knowledge of financial products and service, and experience in credit (an asset)Bilingualism both spoken and written (English and French)Strong attention to detail and accuracy.NMLS ID / License requiredLanguages : English, French
