Overview:
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Technology Associate to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of tech systems.
Position Type:
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will work in-person at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The salary range for this position is $25-28 per hour. Benefits associated with this position include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, medical/dental FSA, retirement, and paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues, including operating system and application problems.
- Assist users with email setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for both desktop and mobile devices.
- Diagnose and fix network connectivity issues, including WiFi, LAN, and WAN access problems.
- Perform basic hardware repairs.
- Set up workstations and printers.
- Deploy and troubleshoot VOIP phone system.
- Maintain and update documentation.
- Install and configure applications, ensuring proper licensing and updates.
- Conduct routine system maintenance, such as updates, backups, and malware scans.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Be proactive by identifying potential IT problems and resolving them before they affect users.
- Set up and operate audio-visual equipment during live events.
- Set up and troubleshoot exhibit technology components, such as touchscreen displays and directional speakers.
- Operate audio-visual equipment in Grandstand Theater, including Christie cinema projector, Dolby audio system, Crestron automation system, and Philips Strand Lighting system.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in technology field or equivalent work experience. CompTIA and/or Microsoft certifications a plus.
- One to three years of experience working in the technology field. Previous A/V experience a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OSX, Microsoft Office. Windows Server experience a plus.
- Basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with live event audio, video, and lighting.
- Ability to plan projects, work to timelines, and provide regular project status and updates.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects while interacting with different functional teams.

Desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, TVs, projectors, printers, copiers.
Typical Physical Demands:
Must be able to move 50 pounds with or without accommodations and perform repetitive actions over time. Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday.
