About the Opportunity:
The National Basketball Association has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Complexity Management Specialist to join our team. As a Complexity Management Specialist, you will work under the direction of the Senior Director, Program Delivery and adhere to our Program Delivery operational model. This role will require a unique blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and strong leadership skills to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate projects across multiple value streams, including Legal, Finance, HR, and others.
- Ensure alignment, execution, and delivery in complex environments involving compliance, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and maintain program plans, including timelines, roadmaps, resource allocation/capacity planning, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Conduct quarterly review planning and fiscal budget preparation for all managed projects and programs.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering teams, product management, and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
- Create and present program status reports, metrics, and dashboards to key stakeholders.
- Provide weekly status updates to the senior management and project team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization – knowledge and experience with SAP and HR systems a plus.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 per year based on industry standards and market conditions in New York City area.
