Pay: $13 with increase available after training period
Job Type: Part-time during open hours of 8am-6pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 9am - 3pm. Rotating weekends.
Expected hours: 20 – 26 hours per week

Summary: Shop Technicians play a vital role in shaping the customer's perception of the company. They are responsible for greeting customers, asking the right questions to understand their needs, and performing the required services. Success in this role requires proper training, active listening skills, and a strong desire to meet customer needs. Effective communication is key in both customer interactions and day-to-day operations. In the warehouse, accuracy in pulling orders, recording inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace is essential for efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, excellent customer service with a focus on meeting customer needs
- Perform vehicle system checks (battery, starter, alternator) to ensure proper function
- Test batteries using a hydrometer and battery tester to determine condition
- Install batteries in vehicles, ensuring proper fit and functionality
- Write up shop tickets for accurate invoicing and record services rendered
- Calculate battery warranty adjustments and communicate them clearly to customers
- Explain warranty details to customers in a straightforward and understandable manner
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s products and services
- Utilize charge lines for billing and inventory purposes
- Receive, label, and properly store incoming products in the warehouse
- Accurately pull orders and load trucks for deliveries or customer pick-up
- Clean and maintain shop bays and warehouse areas, ensuring a tidy and safe environment
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve customer issues
- Excellent communication skills, both for conflict resolution and customer interactions
- Ability to ask insightful questions to determine customer needs and provide tailored solutions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a safe and tidy workspace
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 yrs old
- Be able to lift 50lbs
