About the Opportunity:
Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, Iowa, seeks an experienced professional to join our Maintenance Team as a Maintenance Electrician. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of our production and packaging facility.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing electrical components, dismantling and removing electrical cables and wiring, installing new equipment, running electrical conduit, and adhering to all safety and electrical codes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess previous electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting, and be able to read blueprints, drive a forklift or undertake forklift training, work outside in all weather, lift up to 75-100 pounds, read and write, use basic mathematics, stand/walk on concrete/stairs for the duration of the shift, pass a mechanical aptitude test, use ladders, various hand tools, and power tools, and work with a group or unsupervised. A preferred qualification is Block Certified or Journeyman Electrician status.
