The Platform Engineering Team is seeking elite software engineers to join our team in our mission to empower OCC’s community of engineers with reliable DevOps solutions, and to help us drive forward the development of our Internal Developer Portal.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively participating in Agile ceremonies (daily standup, refinement, planning, etc.)
- Influencing team direction, assisting in planning and coordinating activities
- Working on user stories :
Automating manual processes and workflows
Writing high-quality programming codeWriting user and developer documentationReviewing pull requests to ensure adherence to highest quality standardsDeveloping automated tests and ensuring adequate test coverageDebugging and troubleshooting issuesContainerizing applications and implementing Infrastructure as CodeProvisioning and maintaining cloud resourcesDevising and implementing high-availability and resilience solutionsDesigning implementation, logical, dataflow and other technical diagramsCollaborating with Architecture on devising solution architectureCollaborating with identity / security teams on setting up roles and permissionsIdentifying necessary work and creating and grooming new user stories based on itCollaborating with other teams to drive organizational successDemonstrating features to stakeholders and leadershipAdvising teams in the process of decision-makingPresenting concepts / projects to technical and non-technical stakeholders clearlyEngaging stakeholders to gather business requirementsEngaging Business Management to analyze requirementsEngaging Architecture and Security to obtain reviews and approvalsPromoting standards and best practices across applications, security & configurationsProviding guidance to software, DevOps and systems engineersMentoring / coaching junior developersEnsuring policies and standard operating procedures are followed strictlyProactively taking initiatives to drive operational excellenceMonitoring Slack channels and mailing lists to ensure swift turnaround to requestsEnsuring deadlines and SLAs are metStaying up-to-date on the latest technology trends and standardsSupervisory Responsibilities

5 years programming experienceHands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps cultures, focusing on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) automation and process improvementExperience working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and demanding IT environment with a strong focus on business outcomesSelf-starter – takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver. Anticipates the play.Team player – humble, collaborative, and focused on making sure the entire team succeedsPrevious experience working in highly-regulated organizations considered a plus, especially in the finance industryTechnical Skill
At least 3 years of prior hands-on experience with Python, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Terraform (preferably Enterprise)Fluency writing unit and integration tests, especially with frameworks such as pytest and unittestWorking experience with AWS, particularly with EC2, IAM Roles and Policies, S3 Bucket Policies, Security Groups, NACLs, multi-region failover, high availability and fault tolerant architectures, and containerized microservicesPrior experience using GitHub, Docker / Podman, Kubernetes, Jenkins and TerraformKnowledge of Linux, bash, JavaScript / TypeScript, OWASP Top 10 and ServiceNow a plusEducation and / or Training
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEMCertificates or Licenses
