Role Overview:The Fractional CFO will play a pivotal role in optimizing our financial operations, improving profitability, and positioning the company for a strategic transaction. This individual will be compensated based on their ability to successfully stabilize cash flow, drive revenue growth, and facilitate a successful merger or sale of the company. This is a performance-based engagement suited for an entrepreneurial finance executive with experience in scaling businesses, managing M&A transactions, and securing investor interest.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Stabilization & Growth
- Analyze and improve financial reporting, cash flow, and cost structures
- Implement financial strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency
- Optimize pricing, margins, and capital allocation for sustainable growth
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute a financial roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and financing options
- Guide leadership on long-term financial planning and investment decisions
- Merger, Acquisition, or Sale Preparation
- Prepare the company for potential mergers, acquisitions, or a full sale
- Build financial models and valuations to support deal negotiations
- Engage with potential buyers, investors, or private equity firms to facilitate transactions
- Operational & Risk Management
- Improve internal controls and financial governance to ensure compliance
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions
- Mitigate financial risks while identifying opportunities for scalability
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or M&A Consultant in a high-growth, mid-market business
- Track record of leading financial turnarounds, securing investments, and executing successful exits
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, business valuations, and deal structuring
- Strong negotiation skills with experience working with buyers, brokers, and investors
- Background in manufacturing, defense, tactical gear, or e-commerce is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to be compensated based on results
- Performance-based pay: Compensation is tied to measurable financial success, including revenue growth, profit stabilization, and successful merger or sale execution
- Equity or commission potential on completed sale or investment deal
