About Us:
National Capital Flag Co, Inc. (NCF) was established in 1962 and is located in Alexandria, VA.
NCF has one of the largest offering of flags and banners in the country. Most flags are available from miniature 4X6” desktop models to 30’X50’. We carry all major flag brands for resale and all of our flags are made in the U.S.A.
Additionally, NCF manufactures on its premises, custom embroidered and applique flags and banners of U.S. Government Agencies, all branches of the U.S. Military, commercial customers, and private use. We are an approved manufacturer for the Institution of Heraldry. Military flags and guidons are made to the Institute of Heraldry specifications. Custom digitally printed flags and banners services for convention, exhibit and trade shows are also available.
Indoor flag and flagpole accessories and ornaments for all occasions are also available which will meet the display specifications of U.S. Government, organization, military honor guard, and private use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop the ability to communicate the company’s full range of products and services
- Answer phones, pre-qualify sales leads, and route calls
- Create sales orders and quotes using Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics)
- Use CRM to update customer contact and billing information
- Assist in making sure customer deadlines are met
- Assist customers in determining which products satisfy their requirements
- Assist with inventory management
- Assist with payment processing and collections
- Perform cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Assume other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Familiarity with basic cash-handling procedures
