Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement a comprehensive risk management framework, ensuring risk principles are consistently applied.
- Conduct risk analysis for new initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
- Champion a culture of risk awareness, delivering training and fostering accountability across the organisation.
- Oversee the reporting and governance of risks, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Manage the firm’s compliance programs, keeping the business informed of regulatory changes.
- Lead internal and external audits, including ISO9001 and ISO14001, and ensure effective business continuity planning.
- Oversee major incident reporting and risk event closure, ensuring effective resolution and lessons learned.
- Assist with insurance strategies and claims, working closely with insurers and legal teams to mitigate risks.
- Proven experience in enterprise or operational risk management within a customer-centric environment.
- Strong understanding of insurance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels.
- Ability to problem-solve strategically, using a logical and evidence-based approach.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- A professional risk qualification (e.g., IRMCert) is highly desirable.
