Job Summary: The RMA Material Coordinator is responsible for the physical management and processing of returned merchandise. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, and organizing returned products, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient handling of returns. Key Responsibilities: · Receiving Returned Merchandise: o Accept and verify returned products against RMA documentation. o Ensure that all returned items are properly logged and documented in the inventory system. · Inspection and Sorting: o Inspect returned products for damage, defects, and completeness. o Sort and categorize returned items based on condition and disposition (e.g., repair, replace, recycle, restock). · Storage and Inventory Management: o Store returned items in designated areas, maintaining organization and accessibility. o Update inventory records to reflect the status and location of returned products. · Processing and Disposition: o Coordinate with the quality control team to determine the appropriate action for each returned item. o Prepare items for repair, refurbishment, or recycling as necessary. o Facilitate the restocking of returnable items in the warehouse. · Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of all RMA activities, including receipts, inspections, and dispositions. o Generate reports on return trends, inventory levels, and processing times. · Compliance and Safety: o Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to handling returned merchandise. o Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. o Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for the disposal of returned products. · Coordination with Other Departments: o Work closely with the RMA Coordinator, quality control, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless processing of returns. o Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any issues related to returned merchandise. Qualifications: · Education and Experience: o High school diploma or equivalent. o Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or material handling is preferred. · Skills: o Strong organizational and time-management abilities. o Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems. o Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documenting returned items. o Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required. · Knowledge: o Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management. o Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to material handling. Working Conditions: · This role is typically based in a warehouse or storage facility. · Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and moving heavy items. · Standard working hours apply, with potential for overtime during peak periods. Additional Information: · The RMA Material Coordinator should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
