Job Summary :
Position Overview : We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and strategic Senior Commodity Manager with a proven track record of technology category management and cost savings, with a strong focus on EBITDA growth. This role requires an individual with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in global sourcing with a spend responsibility of at least $75 million. The Senior Commodity Manager will play a vital role in managing critical commodities to drive cost productivity, innovation, risk mitigation, inflation avoidance, new product development, and supply chain resiliency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Sourcing Leadership :
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Commodity Management :
- Oversee the procurement of critical commodities, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Subject-matter expert in commodities such as lighting, all-encompassing electrical / electronics, systems, and electro-mechanical products.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Spend Management :
- Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Seek opportunities to reduce the supply base for optimal spend leverage.
- Supplier Development and Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
- Drive supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and support business growth.
- Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and product development teams, to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams in sourcing initiatives and projects like VAVE to ensure successful execution.
- Conduct ideation sessions across multiple business units.
- Team Leadership and Development :
- Provide peer-to-peer leadership.
