About the Role
An excellent entry-level internship position with NCDMM working on-site at our customers facility Center Street Technologies. As an intern, you be presented with an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to our additive manufacturing machines and systems through the integration of machine learning and other automation methodologies. We are seeking a motivated individual with good communication skills.
Responsibilities of the role include
Update, modify, and improve existing procedures & work instructions
Develop and support the institution of quality control procedures
Support the development of management control systems
Support process improvement analysis and cost-benefit analysis
Support the enhancement of data collection procedures and interpretation of large data sets to develop data-driven processes
Requirements :
Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, self-starting, and passionate with an innate drive to succeed
Able to document procedures and to prepare written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines
Able to work independently and collaboratively; build and maintain positive Team Member relations
A working knowledge of PCs and PC-based applications, especially the Microsoft Office software suite, is essential.
Some statistical analysis training and practical experience
Desire to work in a manufacturing business environment
You are self-directed and have demonstrated the ability to prioritize deliverables and drive results
You are mission-driven and have a passion for working on a team that drives U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and economic security every day
Education :
College student seeking a degree in an accredited Industrial Engineering Program. Have completed coursework or projects about one of the following subjects : Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Manufacturing Processes, or Theory of Constraints
Schedule :
Fifteen hours per week minimum availability during normal working hours (Monday-Friday between 7 : 00 am and 4 : 00 pm) during the school year is preferred, with full-time availability during the summer.
