Illinois Youth and Family Services is seeking a Certified Teacher to work with high-risk youth ages 5-17 in our afterschool program. The ideal candidate must have experience working with high-risk students and students with behavioral challenges. This role requires strong classroom management skills, the ability to implement engaging curriculum-based activities, and a commitment to fostering a structured and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities include planning and implementing a daily routine, structured activities, and educational programming from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The teacher will also be responsible for assessing student progress, preparing progress reports, tracking report cards and attendance, and ensuring that students remain engaged in a positive and structured setting. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting at-risk youth and creating meaningful learning experiences in an afterschool setting.
