What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post-doctoral Fellow position at National Center for Health Research?
Terrific opportunity for someone with a doctorate or medical degree who wants to use research skills to influence U.S. public health and health policies. Must be able to live and work in the Washington, DC area. Be part of the Washington policy scene by gaining hands-on experience with federal agencies and policy makers!
We are seeking candidates with expertise in inferential statistics who can interpret and “translate” research findings into compelling and persuasive information for patients, consumers, and policy makers. A doctorate, MD, or ABD in epidemiology/public health, medicine, psychology, or a closely related field is required. Excellent understanding of biostatistics and oral as well as written communication skills are also required. We will consider candidates who wish to work less than full-time (at least 20 hours/week). Fellows and employees (current and former) of HHS agencies are especially welcome to apply. Starting salary is $65,000-90,000/year plus benefits (depending on education, experience, and hours). Must be willing to commit for 6-12 months, and will be eligible for promotion. Our office is a few blocks from the White House.
