J O B DE SCRI PT I O N
The Adult Education Instructor provides Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Math, Science, and
Computer Instruction to students 22 years of age and older. Duties include planning lessons,
monitoring and assessing student progress on an ongoing basis, participating in intake process
as requested, creating Individual Learning Plans with students, and collecting, recording and
reporting all necessary information related to students in a timely manner.
RO LE S A N D RE SPO N SI BI LI T I E S
? Provide instruction from May 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
? Hours will be 8:30a - 4:30p Monday through Friday with flex schedule option.
? Teaches basic reading, writing, social studies, science, math, and computer skills to
adults who are functioning below 12th grade
? May need to develop curriculum, lesson plans, teaching materials, and ILP to aid
students in developing skills and confidence in basic academic areas.
? Implements boot camp career readiness with resume training, WorkKeys
curriculum/testing
? Integrates computer-aided instruction into lessons as appropriate
? Seeks information about the coming changes to ODE/ODHE program / testing and 22 .
? Monitors and assesses students? progress on a regular basis.
? Collects, records, and reports all necessary information related to students.

? Bachelor?s degree in Education or related field
? Experience working with adult learners
? Strong computer skills
? Demonstrates ability to work independently
